You hear of so many youngsters who have had heart-breaking experiences. Here is how the chain starts. A boy likes a girl. (It could be the other way round, too) It is just a crush. Crushes just crush you to pieces, don’t they? He gets her phone number or her email id and starts talking to her.

This goes on for weeks, then months. They become friends. (That’s what they call there relationship.) And then, he tells her that he has a crush on her since once upon a time. Now he likes her beyond liking. This is when she starts showing attitude towards him. And then she kicks him off board (Girls, this can happen to you, too. So beware!) Well. Predictably, she breaks his heart into a thousand pieces (Now that sucks! & Blows at the same time).

And then, for a week or a month or so, the buy spends his time putting back his broken heart into its original shape. In other words, he tries to get over her. He (as I said, it could be a she) sings old, romantic songs, reads poetry and heart-breaking novels and talks about his traumatic experience.

No, this hasn’t happened to me yet and will never happen, because I’m a cautious person. But it has happened to a couple of my friends. Well, two to be specific.

But I’m on my guard, if some one approaches me with an idea of dumping me, I will confront her upfront. If she doesn’t change her attitude towards life and human beings, then she better beware. I mean how many people will she keep torturing with her experiments? Ten 20, 30?

Now let us get to the basics. To makes sure you don’t fall into the trap of a heart-breaker, here’s a checklist for you so that you recognize her when you meet her. She is good looking 5 feet, green/blue eyes, fair, cute (pending J ) Now you know how they fell for her right?

I don’t know why but I have never liked such girls, even if they are cute. Maybe I’ve been under my cousin’s influence.

Now coming back to the hear-breaker, right now, one of them is conducting her experiment on my friend. The details are as follows.

Experiment: To break a heart
Subject: My friend
Aim: Her control over his heart
Apparatus required: Some sweet, tall talk.
Procedure: Torture him with affection and then break his heart.
Result: The boy’s broken heart and his helpless friends who are tired of him for telling the whole love story again and again.
Interpretation: He did not listen to me when I told him not to trust her; this infatuation wouldn’t break his heart at all!

So, let me ask you people , what on Earth do u ‘broads’ like these get by doing this to boy? And why? I think girls like this need to be taught a lesson. The only way such people will come to their senses is when they meet somebody who will break their heart. Only then they will learn their lesson for good.

I hope the others have the prowess that I have – the ability to be daring. Can’t boys and girls be just good friends? I have girls as friends, but I would like the friendship to remain within limits.

K, so all you smart peeps out there, keeps smiling. Enjoy life. Screw ya if you don’t.

Don’t treat people like puppets. And think about what I have said.

PS: If anyone strongly disagrees me, then I’m sorry. I can’t help expressing my feelings.

Effective websites should include the following:

  • Your website needs to focus on a specific niche.
  • You need to do research and although Google no longer gives weight to Meta keywords some of the other major search engines still do.
  • Your used throughout and each page should be written around 5-10 keywords that are tightly focused on that particular page’s topic.
  • Content is still King. Well written, focused content is crucial.
  • Meta titles need to include your keywords.
  • Organization of content should include headings and subtitles to make it easy for readers to scan the pages. Be sure to include your keywords in these headings as well.
  • Most people on the web are looking for information. If you don’t give them anything of value or entertain them, they will be gone, probably for good.
  • Use keywords in links whereever possible.
  • Include a call to action and, if possible, provide a Free trial. You have to build trust before you can make a sale.
  • Check your website in various browsers (FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc.) to make sure it displays equally well in all.
  • Your personality is what attracts people to you so why would you create a generic website with all of the excitement of a flat glass of pop. Keep the content fresh so it has Fizz!
  • Most importantly, have realistic expectations of what you want to achieve with your website. With all the hype about overnight successes on the internet it’s difficult to put your results into perspective. If you expect instant success and it isn’t happening, it’s easy to become demoralized and quit before you reach your goal.

Yahoo and Microsoft, which held a marathon series of fruitless merger and partnership negotiations last year, have restarted discussions, this time over a possible advertising agreement, a person briefed on those discussions said Friday

Conversations between the two sides have been scant since Carol Bartz was named Yahoo’s chief executive in January. But they have started anew recently, and Ms. Bartz met with Steven A. Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive, last week, said the person briefed on the discussions, who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity because the talks were confidential.

Yahoo and Microsoft declined to comment.

The discussions are in early stages and may not lead to any agreement, the person said. They have centered on ways for the companies to pool their advertising efforts, including a possible partnership under which Microsoft would sell search ads for Yahoo, and Yahoo, in turn, would sell display ads on Microsoft properties, this person said.

After merger and partnership talks collapsed last year, Microsoft continued to make sizable investments in its search business to better compete with Google. Those investments included the hiring of a string of top search executives and engineers, some of whom had previously worked at Yahoo, including Qi Lu, a well-regarded technologist who is now in charge of Microsoft’s overall online business, including search.

Microsoft is expected to release the results of its latest research and development efforts in search technology this summer when it plans to introduce a major overhaul of its search engine.

Microsoft executives are bullish about the capabilities of the new service. But they readily admit that it does not address one of the principal challenges the company faces in competing with Google: Microsoft’s audience and its base of advertisers are tiny compared with Google’s. That makes Microsoft’s search business, in which advertisers bid against one another in an auction, less lucrative than Google’s.

A partnership that would pool Microsoft’s and Yahoo’s users or advertisers could go a long way toward addressing that problem, and could help create a more powerful No. 2 competitor to Google in search.

It’s a week or so since Microsoft started sending out Internet Explorer 8 through Windows Automatic Updates for customers who installed early beta versions of the browser. But now the company is preparing to start to users who still have older browsers including Internet Explorer 7 or 6 installed.
The update should start showing up the third week of April for Windows users running Windows XP, Vista, or Windows Server 2003 or 2008. Microsoft is planning a phased rollout, so you might not get the update right away. Of course, you can always just yourself if you don’t feel like waiting.
But what if you don’t want the new browser? First, IE8 will automatically be downloaded through Windows Update, but it won’t automatically install itself on your system. You’ll see a prompt asking if you want to install the browser.
You can also install a that will prevent Windows from automatically downloading Internet Explorer 8 if you want to hold off on installing the browser indefinitely.

Windows XP will pass another milestone on the road to retirement next week when Microsoft withdraws mainstream support for the operating system..

While the company said that it will continue to provide free security fixes for XP until 2014, any future bugs found in the platform will not be fixed unless customers pay for additional support.
Mainstream support for XP will end on 14 April 2009, over seven years after the operating system originally shipped.
However, the passing of the deadline will place Microsoft in the unusual position of no longer offering mainstream support for its most widely used product. Windows XP accounts for about 63 per cent of all internet connected computers, according to March 2009 statistics from Hitslink, while Windows Vista makes up about 24 per cent.
Windows XP also continues to be sold with low-cost mini laptops, otherwise known as netbooks, as Vista is too heavy on system resources for this level of hardware.
The key message, according to Microsoft, is that the company will continue to provide security support for XP users.
"We will provide critical security fixes via Windows Update for all editions of XP until 2014," said Laurence Painell, Windows marketing manager at Microsoft UK.
Microsoft’s mainstream support includes problem resolution over the phone, and covers fixes for security and non-security related issues such as bugs and requests for changes.
Once Windows XP moves out of the mainstream support phase, customers will need an extended support contract with Microsoft or one of its channel partners to address any issues not related to security.
With a platform as mature as XP, this is unlikely to prove an issue, according to Microsoft.
"XP has been out a long time, so we would hope that there are not many issues that would require that level of support," said Painell.
Gartner analyst Michael Silver agreed, adding that he had not spoken to any companies planning to pay for extended support.
"The only thing extended support buys you is creation of new non-security fixes, at a hefty fee for each one. After all these years, most people figure that most of the functional bugs [in XP] are already worked out," he said.
In the past, most customers would already have moved to a newer platform before this deadline arrived. But because there was such a long gap between XP and Vista, customers have had only a couple of years to make the transition.
Many customers have also chosen to skip Vista and go straight to Windows 7, once this becomes available. Microsoft said that companies now have an opportunity to look at their options for a transition away from XP.
"Windows 7 is built on the same core architecture as Vista, and we provide a number of tools and applications to help companies understand any problems they might face," said Painell. He reiterated that customers can use Vista or the Windows 7 beta as test platforms for planning a migration to the forthcoming platform.
Meanwhile, Microsoft revealed that, while Windows 7 users will be able to downgrade to Windows XP, the reverse will not be true.
Microsoft said in its that XP users will have to perform a full install.
"There are simply too many changes in how PCs have been configured (applets, hardware support, driver model etc) that having all of that support carry forth to Windows 7 would not be nearly as high quality as a clean install," the blog entry said.
