apple-2009-iphone-3-1236-rm

Apple has announced a software upgrade and a new SDK for developers with deeper access to many features and a wider set of functionality. Things like cut-and-paste and MMS which people had been demanding will be available. Then there is access to push features and the iTunes library. Main highlights:

  • peer-to-peer connectivity
  • global search
  • access to the device’s iPod library, streaming media calls, and in-game voice
  • a subscription sales model and in-app purchases
  • interface to hardware accessories and Google Maps directly for applications

All this was just announced today so a lot of details will be forthcoming. It still remains to be seen if the new OS will work with unlocked phones or not.

1.   Attitude
Bloom where you are planted. You have a choice to get back   up after temporary set backs. Attitude is a small thing that makes a big   difference!

2.   Direction
If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get   you there. Write your short term goals down on paper. I have discovered and   continue to discover that putting your dreams and goals down on paper lock in or   focus your belief that they can be achieved–even if you have to take a course   correction in achieving your goals. Success comes in cans, failure comes in   can’ts.

3. Values
Explore what is important to you.   Maybe it is family, friends, your spirituality or working hard at any given   task. I can assure you that your priorities will change as you grow older. Very   important that you value yourself and treat yourself like the valuable gift from   God that you are.

4. Interests
Birds of a feather   flock together. This is to say that if you are hanging around winners or others   with a "can do" mind-set, you’ll likely adapt to this same kind of thinking.   Remember–"SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES!

5.   Commitment
Feelings may change, commitments do not. "Success is   getting up one more time than you fall." I have often wanted to give up, and   then I must think to myself about what the consequences of giving up will be.   Generally, this is more than enough of a motivation to make us stick to the task   at hand even if we don’t feel like it. When the task is achieved, Whow!–IT   FEELS GREAT!

6.   Encouragement
Be an encourager and comforter to friends that are   feeling discouraged. I promise that you will not regret this as you will be   encouraged by one, if not many, when you are feeling down. Encouragement and   love are contagious qualities that can change the minds of the most stubborn and   "hard-to-get- along-with" people you know. I have seen it happen over and over   again.

We all know people who are inspiring. But just how does one inspire others? Here are simple ways you can inspire people to be their best:

  • Be a good example. People watch what you do more than they listen to what you say. Be someone worth emulating.

  • Care about others.

  • People don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Ask questions. Take a genuine interest in people.

  • Encouragement.

  • Everyone goes through tough times. When you support people and encourage them through these times, you’ll be inspiring them to see the best in themselves and in the situation.

  • Be inspired yourself.

  • Look for people, ideas, environments and knowledge that you find inspiring and motivating.

  • Share from your own experience.

  • You have more to share than you realize. Mine the rich experiences of your life and share your wisdom from your unique point of view. You may bethe only one who can touch someone with your inspiring message.

  • Be vulnerable.

  • Be willing to share your failures as well as your successes. Others will relate to you. They’ll understand that they’re not the only ones with challenges..

  • Tell stories.

  • Facts tell and stories sell. They inspire, too. We learn best from parables and we all need to develop our own inspiring stories.

  • Be a good communicator.

  • Increasing your ability to communicate effectively is a critical element for you to inspire others. Watch how you speak and what you say. Invest in your communication skills.

  • Challenge people.

  • Many of us have had teachers who at times seemed more like tormentors than mentors. They challenged us to do our best, and we were better for it.Practice "care-frontation"— the careful and caring confrontation of others.

  • It may not follow that all readers are leaders, but certainly all leaders are readers.. Stay informed. Share what you read with others. Tell people about books that have inspired you. Share the knowledge.
